Job Description :

Location : MUST be in Raleigh, NC or Dayton, OH (Hybrid : 2 Days Onsite / 3 Days WFH)

Job Type : Contract for hire (W2)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Working knowledge of applicable development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, JavaScript, XML, SQL, Windows, and UNIX.
  • Working understanding of REST/HTTP API development.
  • Experience with using test-driven development and testing frameworks (i.e. pytest, cucumber, Karate, Robot Framework, etc.)
  • Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
  • Basic oral and written communications skills.
  • Working knowledege of cloud (AWS) is desirable
  • Proficient using source control systems (i.e. Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Have knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and software development principles such as Agile, trunk based development, quality gates, etc.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  • Complete simple bug fixes.
  • Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  • All other duties as assigned.
