Summary: Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
Roles & Responsibilities
Own end-to-end performance with a shift-left attitude through design, launch, and operation: Understand architecture design, requirements, and help support new product launch.
Tackle performance issues for cutting edge technologies. Debug server-side performance issues, identify bottlenecks and optimize product/service performance to improve user experience.
Work collaboratively with a large group of engineers from all disciplines within Engineering to improve code base performance (e.g. algorithm redesign), reduce resource consumption, shorten request latency and present findings to a group with a varying degree of technical experience.
Provide visibility to what is going on for allotted ecommerce site: Run performance and capacity experiments to determine scaling and utilization parameters for various front-end and service tiers.
Proactively investigate site performance issues in production and work cross functionally to validate resolutions.
Effectively collaborate and communicate for better performance governance across all teams in Client Place. Present performance-related findings to various teams.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years' experience in a development role in a building web based Java EE services/applications. Experience with SOA, Apache Camel, REST, Web-Services, JEE technologies, Spring desirable.
Experience with Stress Testing to ensure scalability, availability, fault tolerant and resilient, high performance rest services for client server and mobile architecture. Experience in creating scripts using Silk Performer, Load Runner, JMeter.
Experience creating large volume test data simulation, analysis and test reporting.
Experience with planning, reviewing long and short time test strategy, and addressing customer issues and performing root cause analysis.
Experience with programming using Java, Obj C, Swift, Python and shell scripts for test steps automation.
Experience with performance tuning of No SQL database for Availability and Scalability across multi-clusters including MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, and Couch base using admin tools.
