Job Title: Jr. Full Stack Java Duration: 6 Months Location: Remote Client: Securian Financial Position Summary We are seeking a full stack Java developer with JavaScript, SQL Server, and Spring Batch skills to work in a collaborative environment on a variety of different software systems. We support internal facing web applications, administration systems, batch applications and services for the Group Administrative Solutions business. We leverage many different tools and technologies including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Gradle, Informatica, and SQL Server. Our teams focus on maintaining administrative applications. We also have work supporting Application Managed Services (AMS) and AWS Cloud Migration.? We also build systems to allow Home Office associates to provide service to our participants and plan sponsors. Responsibilities include but not limited to: ? Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities. ? Work to solve problems innovatively and with a test and learn mindset. ? Support modernization efforts such as Application Rationalization and moving to AWS. ? Ensure effective and favorable relationships are developed and maintained with key stakeholders. ? Active engagement, collaboration with the team, and strong communication skills Qualifications: ? Java: 3+ years? professional experience or applicable project/classroom experience ? Strong collaborator and communicator ? Excellent problem-solving skills ? Bachelor?s degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) ? Github, Gradle, Puppet ? RESTful Web Services ? Spring framework (Spring batch, Spring Boot, Spring Web MVC, Spring Batch) ? SQL Server ? Junit Preferred Qualifications: ? Experience on an agile scrum team ? JavaScript, CSS, HTML ? Informatica ?
