Purpose  The Systems Integration Engineer is primarily responsible for resolving engineering issues and ensuringsuccessful subsystem & systems integration for various rail car projectsnbsp;The position will be required to have understanding in all aspects of thesystem integration engineering for the assigned systems. Topics managed by this position can relate to System Functions, Functional Interface, Electrical Interface, Mechanical Interface, Asset Management and Test Equipment.Primary Responsibilities   Serve as a Systems Integration Engineer in the conceptual, preliminary and final designfor complex rail transit projects Work with a team to provide systems engineering oversight for rail transit projects involving tractionpower, propulsion, braking, signaling and train control equipment, vehicle communicationsystems, and third rail and/or OCS poles Responsible for providing technical direction and assuring the accuracy of the work produced bythe design team and contractors, including plans, specifications, and estimates In depth knowledge of the latest rail transit communication systems such as ECN (EthernetCommunication Network), WTB (Wired Train Bus), MVB (Multi Vehicle Bus), GPS,WLAN (Wireless LAN) and Radio which connects between sub systems and governsdata and information transmission       Discerns technical problems, plans solution paths, and coordinates tasks with otherengineers of various disciplines and suppliers for efficient resolution       Coordinates  technical activities with the project management groups       Responsible for interfacing with the other disciplines to ensure proper coordination of thesystems aspects of the project       Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations       Leads technical discussions in design review meetings and manages action items       Evaluates and may generate, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, testprocedures, test reports, technical proposals and other technical documents asrequired       Generates official correspondence and track progress       Provides elevated support for the engineering headquarters located in Japan by providingsuggestions, simpler interpretations of the issues for faster responses       Establish and maintain a systematic, documented, comprehensive, and verifiable systemsintegration processes to be applied through the project design andconstruction phases       Supports other departments within the company concerning engineering matters       Additional responsibilities as requiredQualifications         Practical knowledge in both electrical and mechanical engineering       Proactive problem solver on any issue, both technical and non-technical
