Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer III
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ

Principal Purpose of Position:

  • Leads enterprise base work initiatives and projects. Works with project managers to coordinate and plan project tasks and resources.
  • Manages virtualization projects across infrastructure environment specifically with VMWARE.
  • Develops enhanced production monitoring and additional capability.
  • Defines improvements that increase system reliability and performance.
  • Does architecture, design & planning to meet business and technical requirements for integrated solutions
  • Performs availability planning and analysis for a variety of platforms and environments.
  • Recommends & implements changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develops, maintains, recommends, documents, and supports tools and back-end utilities to provide capacity planning management.
  • Identifies ways improve team or technology by enhancing or automating processes.
  • Ensures adherence to security requirements. Makes recommendations to improve security and participates in investigations as needed.
  • Participates in the design and implementation of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Ensures compliance and contributes to policies, procedures and standards.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 7+ years’ experience providing support in a windows multi-server enterprise environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in system engineering and IT support required
  • Requires strong knowledge and experience with multiple infrastructure solutions
  • Advanced proficiency working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting VMWare, Microsoft Windows and Linux based environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with virtualization (e.g., VMware)
  • Advanced proficiency with systems monitoring
  • Advanced proficiency in scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Advanced proficiency in installing, configuring and troubleshoot replication software such Zerto (Highly Preferred) and VMWare replication.
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory design supporting geographically dispersed locations to include LDS authorization integration.
  • Advanced proficiency of file servers utilizing storage at scale to include disaster recovery capabilities, and DFS namespaces, configured for high availability.
  • Solid proficiency with MS Office software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project and Visio.
