Job Description :
· Database administration & troubleshooting of Informix V12
· Installation, patching and Upgradation of Informix
· Create and manage environment configuration scripts and to perform tasks like Health Checks, Extent growth of an Instance
· Create instances, Database and configure scripts on the Cron
· Should be able to Backup/restore the database using Ontape and Onbar utilities
· Responsible for 100% uptime of DB
· Monitoring and resolving the problem tickets being generated
· DB Copy/Creation, Chunk Management
· Working in HDR/ER and other cluster environment
· Good understanding and experience on Unix editing (vi, etc) and scripting (KShell) skills
· Operational tasks like adding space to dbspaces, create/drop dbspace
· Expert knowledge on timeseries setup and configuration
· Experienced in migration of Database from one OS platform to another will be an added advantage
· Monitor system resources of database servers to assure production systems meet performance & availability requirements and hardware enhancements are scheduled in a timely fashion
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Experience supporting 24x7 environments.
· Should have excellent Problem analytical skills
