Job Description:
The Sikorsky Aircraft Real-time Simulation team is seeking a software developer with experience in C++ and Linux OS systems. Responsible for various levels of the software project lifecycle -starting from requirements documentation to system and software designs, to software development, integration, and test, to user support. Primary focus of this position is the integration of numerous types of hardware and "black boxes" with the simulation software system.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
•2+ years of software engineering experience
•Experience in programming languages C and C++
•Experience programming in the Linux environment
•Knowledge of source code management (e.g. Git, ClearCase, SVN) systems
Desired skills:
•Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Shell, Perl)
•Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment
•Experience with Data Acquisition Systems
•Experience with document collaboration (e.g. Confluence)
•Experience with issue tracking (e.g. Jira)
•Knowledge of the following I/O interfaces is desirable but not required: Mil-Std-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, 1394B, PCI, PCIe and VMEbus interfaces.
•Some background in Electrical Engineering is desirable but not required.
