Rate- Max W2 Hourly Rate to Candidate: $45/hour  on PM Corp’s w2

 

 

Where candidates have fallen short:


No experience upgrading Horizon infrastructure
No IDM/Workspace One experience. Specifically someone that has set this up on-prem.
Lacks Group Policy/UEM experience


 

 

Looking for Horizon VMW SME. Needs someone who can do major decommissioning w/ Horizon, strong knowledge to engineer well and understand security and vulnerability around Horizon; SME but not architect level bc no new service design or feature updates needed. Looking to upgrade the entire suite from Horizon version to the newer version. Will not be doing the day-day admin activities but this person will own problems, root cause analysis, problem management, ID what happened and why.

Team: There are two other Horizon Engineers that act as more operational admins. SME contractor will help guide two other Horizon Admins.

Responsibilities:


Virtual Desktop design, administration, maintenance and upgrades using VMware Horizon 7.x, VMware vSphere 6.x and VMware Identity Manager
Deploying and maintaining VMware Horizon VDI in Cloud Pod Architecture Topology
VMware Identity Manager/Workspace ONE.
Creation, deployment and maintenance of VDI master images, persistent and non-persistent desktop pools as well as RDSH virtual applications.
Virtual Application packaging using VMware Horizon App Volumes including writable AppVolume.
Profile Management using VMWare User Environment Manager/Dynamic Environment Manager UEM/DEM
Windows Groups Policies.
VMware vRealize Suite (vRealize Operations ,vRealize Automation, vRealize Log Insight
Improve and enhance VDI infrastructure through automation and scripting
Provide technical support for the Centene VMware Horizon Server environment and associated applications
Perform daily tasks to ensure the stability and optimization of the server environment, which includes proactively identifying potential system issues before they become a problem, working with team members in deciding a resolution, and implementing the agreed upon resolutions
Responsible for maintenance of the operating systems on Corporate servers, end user support, monitoring system usage and performance, patching, management of backup and recovery of the operating system and third-party applications, file-system management, process automation, server installation/configuration, and third-party application support including installations and configurations
Interface with business users and stakeholders to determine needs
Review operational and organizational changes, assess how these changes will affect the server environment and incorporate the changes into the system architecture, as needed
Coordinate, test, and implement all enhancements or new releases of the Operating Systems and business critical software
Monitor, analyze, and evaluate system utilization to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of applications and system resources
