Seeking a talented and motivated Senior COBOL developer working in an agile development environment. Developers are assigned and committed to one Delivery team within a Program. This individual is responsible for collaborating with the Delivery team to ensure the solutions developed deliver value and improve the quality of the software. This includes partnering with the Systems Analyst and Testers on the Delivery team to define tasks and provide final estimates for User Stories. The Developers are responsible for attending and participating in all Scrum ceremonies.
The Sr. COBOL Developer develops software according to standards and designs defined by the Product Owner, Solutions and Domain Architects. This includes writing code, and may include developing unit and functional-level automated tests to ensure the acceptance criteria is satisfied. Developers are responsible to ensure working, tested software is developed and implemented.
Job Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
At least 5 years of relevant mainframe COBOL development experience supporting Hogan Systems.
o Specific Hogan modules: CIS, IDS, ILP, CAMS II
Ability to design, develop, configure, test, and deliver complete solutions.
Strong critical thinking and fact based analysis abilities.
Effective communication habits; ability to work well with others.
Self-motivated problem solver
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with PAS or HHP Hogan messaging is a plus but not required.
Deep understanding of banking and financial intuitions
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban is preferred.
