Role: Hadoop Administrator Length: 2 Months to Start with Likely Extension Location: SAN FRANCISCO,CA Remote Responsibilities: Implementing, managing and administering the overall Hadoop infrastructure Adding and removing nodes using cluster monitoring tools like Ambari Support Hadoop cluster move to a different data center while ensuring as little downtime as possible for day to day operations Building a Hadoop cluster with the latest version with all the necessary tools like Hive, Spark etc. Configuration and performance tuning of the cluster Knowledgeable in Data Security and ensuring proper authentication and authorization on the Hadoop cluster along with audit logging Analysis of logs and troubleshoot to find root cause analysis of recurring issues and implement fixes for the same Responsible for capacity planning and estimating Day to day Monitoring of the Hadoop cluster and develop tools to automate monitoring and alerting. Good Knowledge of scripting in Bash or Python Qualifications & Skills Minimum 6+ years of experience in software industry with at least 5 years of experience in Hadoop Required Skills : Hadoop Administration
