Full Stack Developer New York, New York Position Overview: As a Full Stack Developer you will have the opportunity to contribute to various parts of the tech stack, building out new internal product features or external API integrations. You will work closely with other functions to create solutions on both the front-end and back-end that allow us to offer an automated underwriting process and user experience to customers. Responsibilities & Duties: * Contribute to various parts of the tech stack to implement APIs or technology solutions relevant to the underwriting process or user experience * Collaborate cross-functionally to conceptualize new technology features for internal or customer-facing solutions * Work with product and design focused teams to build a product framework with a reliable code base that is scalable * Engage with other team members to learn how to structure new technology offerings most efficiently by understanding internal and end-user requirements * Work with other teams to manage project deadlines and address outstanding technical issues Prerequisites of The Position * 8+ years of software development experience * Experience with various frontend technologies such as React, JSON, CSS, HTML5 and more * Solid knowledge of Java eco system and API Development * Familiarity with SQL databases and their declarative query languages * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git or Bitbucket * Ability to build, deploy, and maintain web applications * Proficiency with software tools needed to operate effectively at scale in a production environment * Strong verbal and written communications skills * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
