Note: Looking for Senior profiles with min 10+ or 12+ years’ experience in medical devices

Summary of Position:

We are looking for someone who has experience working across many technologies and projects and wants a chance to lead a growing team of hungry hard working local developers. The specific technology language requirements for this role are designing, managing, and supporting medical devices’ Digital Cloud Products SaMD (Software as a Medical Device). Leading and enhancing our cloud-based applications and services for customer-facing ophthalmic medical devices and digital solutions. He/She will be responsible for managing DHS platform and applications, a liaison between R&D, product managers, sales, and technical teams across the globe. Combining project management, leadership skills and technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sr. Platform Engineer is responsible for designing and managing the deployment of Digital Health and medical devices product integration, using common medical standards, hosted on an AWS Cloud Platform as a Service offering.
  2. He/She is responsible for managing DHS (Digital Health Solutions) platform and applications, a liaison between R&D, product managers, sales, and technical teams across the globe.
  3. Responsible for guiding onshore and offshore teams to deploy, maintain, and support cloud-based applications and services for connected ophthalmic devices.
  4. Combining project management, leadership skills and technical knowledge, he/she will also act as an escalation resource for all medical devices products support needs, for both internal and customers.
  5. Collaborate with R&D and Commercial organizations to identify, plan/design and build appropriate application and service infrastructure to align with product strategy and meet business requirements.
  6. Identify, evaluate, and support opportunities to improve process, systems, and initiatives critical to DHS (Digital Health Solutions) success.
  7. Perform system health checks, performance tuning, maintenance, and capacity planning.
  8. Author supporting technical documentation (e.g., architectural diagrams, qualification documents, test scripts).
  9. Experience operations support in areas with disaster recovery, resilience, and redundancy.
  10. Perform and/or coordinate security baseline compliance, vulnerability remediation and privileged access management for DHS ecosystem.
  11. Able to explain difficult concepts to a wide audience including senior leadership, non-technical customers, and tech savvy customers.
  12. Ability to travel (5%-10%) to customer sites and client facilities in other cities.

 

 Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  2. Experience in PaaS platforms like Cloud Foundry
  3. 3+ years of experience working with customers in healthcare industry, or supporting Medical Devices
  4. Linux, Greengrass, and/or Microsoft Windows
  5. Cloud services/technology, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, AWS, Azure
  6. Experience in relational database such as Redshift, Oracle, and/or MySQL
  7. Familiarity with FDA regulated environments, GXP compliance, including change and problem management
  8. Agile and Scrum experience desired
  9. Understanding of network connectivity and IoT Devices

Education and Work Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience
  2. Experience in DevOps model and related tools (ex. Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Bit bucket, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform etc.)
  3. 2 years of demonstrated leadership.
