Responsibilities:

Develop and propose solutions to difficult hazards or engineering challenges. Cause full understanding of engineering solutions, policies and procedures within the engineering/underwriting and customer communities. Identify challenges and opportunities impacting engineering/underwriting effectiveness and efficiency and contribute to developing strategies which respond to them. Provide creative, flexible and reliable technical/procedural guidance within areas of expertise. Contribute to and lead the development of improved understanding of hazards and propose new solutions, procedures, systems or products. Lead task forces charged with solving specific technical, procedural or product development problems or challenges. Act as troubleshooter, problem solver and catalyst resulting in more effective, efficient and responsive engineering/underwriting. Develop an understanding of the factors that drive our company aggregate exposure and ensure that all projects focus on reducing the exposure.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor?s degree in Physics, Engineering, Applied Science or related field of study, and 5 years of experience in Account Engineering in commercial property insurance HPR (Highly Protected Risk).
  • Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: property loss prevention consulting, system procedures and program development; conceptualizing engineering data in various visual means to optimize impact; risk analysis presented by industrial and commercial business; engineering project management consisting of multidisciplinary teams; developing and executing risk management strategies; and business requirements for account engineering activities.
  • Requires Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires 10% travel to meet with Operations personnel and/or clients.
