ROLE DESCRIPTION
Support the build framework and tools for CI, CD, Proactive Monitoring & Alerting & Operations Excellence ensuring availability & reliability
Work closely with engineers in supporting new application features and service launches
Design, build and use various tools to manage scaling and monitoring of highly scalable eCommerce application
Support Runtime Cloud Migrations (Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes)
Evaluate system utilization, monitor response time, and provide primary support for detection and correction of operational problems
Troubleshoot network and systems performance issues and create and maintain operational SLA for our internal and external customers
On-call during support rotation. Respond to alerts in a timely manner
Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years of DevOps experience
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
Understand the nuances of supporting high performance, scalable and accessible web application
Experience with automation/configuration management such as Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (Azure preferred)
Ability to read and understanding Java code
Ability to write simple automations using shell scripting
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Working knowledge of basic networking concepts such as http, load balancers, proxies, firewalls
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience working with Docker, Jenkins or similar technologies, GIT and build CI/CD pipeline
Proven experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
Self-starter with strong initiative and focus on quality deliverables
Business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
Hands-on experience with enterprise system monitoring and alerting such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana
Strong understanding of code quality tools and metrics

Familiarity with micro-service architectures, SOAP and RESTful web services and asynchronous processing and Messaging architectures – Kafka
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with Agile development methodologies
