DuckCreek Developer- Cincinnati, OH Qualifications • 7+ years of IT and Insurance work experience in Commercial P&C underwriting (submission/rating /policy issuance) systems • 5+ years of experience with Duck Creek’s Commercial Lines Policy Administration system • Fluency in Duck Creek policy administration system (7.x and above): EXAMPLE Express, EXAMPLE Author, EXAMPLE Server, EXAMPLE User Admin, EXAMPLE Forms and EXAMPLE TransAct • Experience building a black box rating engine and integrating with Duck Creek templates is preferred • Highly analytical and structured thinking, with the innate curiosity and creativity to develop innovative and unorthodox solutions to problems Responsibilities • Configure coverages, workflows, pages and forms to implement the proprietary products and business verticals • Build new or configure existing raters, setup tables and implement rules to meet business and system requirements • Configure circulars and proprietary filings (loss costs, company exceptions, rate, rules and forms) • Partner with the production support team to troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues and maintain system compliance related to bureau and proprietary rate, rules and forms • Ensure code merge procedures and principles are followed diligently and consistently • Design, develop, unit test, support and document changes, adhering to the development standards • Champion code review and pre-release testing to increase quality and reduce defect leakage • Provide required support during quality assurance and user testing to ensure that the functionality is working as expected • Support platform and template upgrade efforts • Ensure industry best practices are applied when developing solutions including performance, usability, security, data retention, scalability, experience and other productivity considerations • Work with the backend ETL and Data teams in order to accurately book policies and report externally • Support DevOps practices to increase delivery velocity and integrate into the CI/CD framework • Keep abreast of Duck Creek product roadmap and the industry trends
