Location: Hopkins, MN (Remote Job)
Type: 4+ Months Contract
Overview:
This position would be working with the Digital Insights Team.
The team works primarily with a stakeholder in Brazil and a Product Manager that is local.
Digital Insights does not have any of their own engineering staff so candidates for this role will be interviewed and mentored by staff from Format Solutions and the IT cloud development group.
This role needs to collect raw data, host a raw data layer, transform the data to a consumable form and create a data access solution for the Aga business team to utilize.
The end solution will be hosted on the AWS cloud, working with the Cargill cloud team. However, the person needs to be very independent and able to communicate well as they will be the only engineer on this project.
Responsibilities:
Design, Write, and Test Code
Write code and design scalable, distributed applications.
Extract/transfer/store raw data and transform data to consumable format
Implement modern engineering practices to ensure product quality (e.g., Automation and CI/CD practices are extremely important
Influence Product Direction
Work closely with the Product Management team to help shape the future roadmap of the product.
Work with distributed remote workforce Agile methodology.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or related experience
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing and building software applications
5+ years experience with C#/.NET (recent)
Experience with containers on Linux
AWS experience
API development experience
Database experience
Self-motivated and willing to dive deep into unfamiliar and existing code bases
Able to operate independently as only team member
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills
.NET Core 2.x or greater
