Job Description:

Successful candidate will be responsible for leading the enterprise DevSecOps implementation strategy as part of an organization-wide digital modernization initiative across a wide-range of healthcare IT information systems. Candidate will lead development and implementation of the DevSecOps Strategy to include the definition and goals of the over-arching framework and methodologies. Candidate will implement CI/CD pipeline utilizing DevSecOps principles and practices to increase automation and reduce human involvement in the process. End objective is alignment of IT solutions to Business Architecture (People, Process, and Information) needed to deliver each capability to drive standardization of IT (via shared utilities and consolidated workflows) and business processes.

Qualifications:

Proven track record in building large-scale, distributed, and microservice-based IT solutions.

10+ years of experience with architecture, design, and development of IT solutions using the latest technologies and methodologies (Java, .NET, Cloud Native, Microservices).

Experience with DevSecOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, and Junit.

Experienced in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications.

Extensive knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of scripting languages and methods to automate processes is required.

Knowledge of Agile lifecycles based on Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, or other frameworks.

Experience with automation of system backup and recovery, high availability, and zero downtime approaches.

Typical Duties/Abilities:

Create and deliver strategic technical presentations, Points-of-Views and White Papers to senior government leadership in both the business lines and IT.

Provide guidance to the application teams for building DevSecOps capabilities across their environments (Dev, Test, Production).

Integrate DevSecOps tools and services (code repository, artifact repository, source code analyzer, security scanning, testing tools and an orchestrated integration and delivery platform) to enable automated application building, testing, securing and deployment.

Create and design infrastructure-as-code solutions to promote services through development, test, and production environments.

Facilitate technical discussions with development teams and support application modernization efforts, reviewing and presenting Analysis of Alternatives, Software Factory options, DevSecOps toolkits, etc.

Create development/deployment standards, processes, and automated workflows, and provide training and education to the application teams.

Soft Skills

Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)

Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership.

Ability to articulate architecture, design, and configuration choices and bring about consensus.

Education/Certifications:

BS degree in Information Technology or another related technical discipline.
