We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a DevOps Engineer role.
The candidate will engage in infrastructure engineering activities. A successful candidate will have at least (4+) years of experience as a software engineer or developer with recent (4+) years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development/Deployment using cloud technologies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Gather technical requirements, design, implement, and maintain mission-critical infrastructure platform and services that are scalable, highly available and fault-tolerant
•Consult with client stakeholders on strategies for deployment of new technology implementations, and monitor to develop a migration strategy from the current system using CI/CD pipeline
•Ensure solutions are implemented and delivered with best practices, standards, and appropriate controls based on the business need
•Mentor team members on AWS design and implementation while creating runbooks documenting implementation and standardized processes to maintain the platform
•Develop automation processes, code deployments, platform support and maintenance activities using automation tools like Ansible
•Follow all organizational Standard Operating Procedures relative to approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflow and deliverables.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS(Required):
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience analyzing customer service requirements and designing service solutions to meet those objectives
- Extensive skills experience transitioning from on premise data center services to platform and services
- Software engineering experience with end to end solutions
- Strong knowledge of proven experience using DevOps concepts, software development life cycle methodologies, including Agile and Kanban
- Experience working directly with AWS Infrastructure services and securing applications
- Experience with designing and automating build and deployment solutions/process for data solutions
- Extensive skills with Linux and Windows
- Experience coding and scripting (Python, Java, Scala) and design experience
- Able to work independently
