DevOps Automation Engineer
Reston, VA

The desired candidate will have 5-8 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years of IT experience with strong development background with Java/Python.

They will also have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Automation Engineer.

Responsibilities
Work with development teams to understand the solution and related artifacts and configurations
Create/Maintain CI-CD pipelines that include environment configuration stages as well as build/deploy/test steps
Work collaboratively with system administrators and dev teams to ensure applications in the environment are working properly
Deploy and execute applications/builds through Jenkins
Create, maintain, and improve documentation to be used by team members, or delivered to the customer
Mentor other team members on technology and processes

Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of IT experience with strong development background with Java/Python
Minimum 3 years of experience as DevOps Automation Engineer
At least one project experience automating big data pipelines built using technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Hive, Hbase, SOLR etc.
Advanced experience with source control tools, continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, services and methodologies (Jenkins, BitBucket, Artifactory etc
Advanced Linux scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the rest of the team as required
Good understanding of security concepts/firewalls/API services.

Desired Skills (a Plus)
Automation experience in Cloud
Hands on experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef, etc
