Position: Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Bank of the West 13505 California St. Omaha, Nebraska (Day 1 ONSITE)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Technical Skills:

·         More than 5 years of experience in Desktop Support

·         Experience in User Support environments.

·         Experience in Windows 10 Upgrades.

·         Knowledge of Windows 7 through Windows 10 and the ability to install integrate and support these operating systems.

·         Be able to install, maintain and troubleshoot MS Office Applications.

·         Install VDI client software remotely or on desk of end users.

·         Strong understanding of internetworking concepts; File shares,TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.

·         Strong knowledge of client/server computing.

·         Kowledge on Interconnecting computer and peripherals (e.g Monitor, Printers, Scanners).

·         Experience in backup and restore of user profiles settings such as Favorites, Documents, network drives and other preferrences.

·         Understanding of Remote Desktop Protocol.

·         Experiene on End User Computing Projects.

·         Experience in working on Windows OS Upgrade projects.

·         Experienced on providing hand and feet support for end user Hardware refresh projects.

·         Technical Skills desired (Not Mandatory):

·         Experience in supporting users working Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.

 

Profile Summary

Key Responsibilities:

·         Provide white glove support for end users who are being migrated from Windows 7 to Windows 10 virtual desktop

·         Assist users with any technical issues (hardware, software, connectivity, etc)

·         Trouble shoot VDI client software issues during migration

·         Troubleshoot issues using desk side, phone, and remote support.

·         Troubleshoot Hardware, Software and Network issues reported by end users.

·         Configure and Troubleshoot Desktop Applications.

·         Local Coordination of Migration and end user support.

·         Collaborate with other Technology Teams to resolve end user issues.

·         If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.

·         Create/update and escalate user tickets as needed
