Job Title : DataStage Developer
Location : Minneapolis, MN
Duration : 6 month contract with potential to extend
Job description :
Client is looking for a DataStage Developer in Minneapolis, MN.
This person will be responsible for completing ETL DEV work as assigned by ETL lead, consulting with BA/DA to understand business requirements and business spec documentation, and preparing data for validation and testing by BA/DA team.

Hadoop (open to other Big Data Technologies as well)
Responsibilities:
work within Agile team framework, accurately complete ETL DEV work as assigned by ETL lead, consult with BA/DA to understand business requirements and business spec documentation, prepare data for validation and testing by BA/DA team
Required:
6+ years of experience working in a high volume DataStage environment v8.3 or higher
4+ years of experience in developing complex SQLs and troubleshooting performance issues.
4+ years of experience with high level technical phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities from solutioning and design to development and deployment
1+ years of experience with big-data technologies like Scala , Spark , Hive and Sqoop scripting
2+ years of experience with complex shell scripting using Unix or PERL.
Preferred:
Experience working with and deploying TWS/d job automation or any automation tools.
Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata and Db2 in Unix environment
Deep understanding of Hadoop stack such as Hadoop (Java) .
Experience with Cloud technologies .
Thorough understanding of technological infrastructure and how it relates to projects
Evaluate and understand a variety of modeling and/or diagramming techniques, with the ability to create process flow diagrams and the ability read data flow and entity relationship models.
Experience with multiple file structures and programming languages.
