Job Title: Database Service Program Manager Duration : 12 Months Location : Nashville, TN (Day1 Onsite) Exp- 12-15 years Your role: We're looking for a program manager to: - Lead a multi-year program to exit our incumbent RDBMS provider (14k databases globally) and migrate to our strategic offerings (on premise and in cloud).
- Refine the objectives and shape the sub-projects and deliverables required to exit.
- Liaise with and manage, internal and external stakeholders, provide accurate and timely reporting tailored to audiences of different seniority.
You will: - Lead our Oracle Exit Program, managing a small direct team of analysts and leading virtual teams of migration specialists and engineers.
- You will ensure appropriate resources and funding is available to requisite teams to deliver.
- You will prioritize streams of work to achieve the goal ranging from:
- Estate reduction target setting, to negotiation and agreement on deliverables with database consumers.
- Sponsoring and helping prioritize enhancements to target offerings or, introduction of new capabilities, to drive adoption.
- Reviewing and optimizing migration processes and efficiency of migration partners.
- You will monitor and report on progress for senior management, developing KPIs and supporting metrics / inventory as necessary.
- You will produce a communication strategy that engages key database consumers to educate management and Application teams on, respectively, targets and progress and, available processes and tools for migration.
Your expertise - Hands-on experience of large program management and interaction with very senior stakeholders
- Track record of influencing senior IT stakeholders and business partners
- New technology introduction including process and workflow optimization, new product PoC Management, technology integration and solution design including operating model definition / optimization
- Experience of cloud databases offerings and integration approaches / challenges
- Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
- Confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
- Capable of understanding client needs and translating this into products and services
