Remote or Onsite: On location at the Client’s site
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide Oracle and MS SQL database administration inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning;
- Provide SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers;
- Provide configuration management (TFS administration) for SQL database objects;
- Provide configuration management for SSRS reports and associated database objects;
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff;
- Provide emergency after hours and weekend support for database systems;
- Provide maintenance and support by applying updates and/or upgrades to database infrastructure environments.
Requirements:
- Experience as Oracle and MS SQL database administrator inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning (as Oracle DBA - 4+ years; as MS SQL DBA – 7+ years);
- Experience with MS SQL products inclusive of MS SQL 2008 (7+ years);
- Experience with SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers (7+ years);
- Experience with SQL relational databases, OLTP and DSS, serving in high performance, service oriented, multi-tiered environments (7+ years);
- Experience with configuration management (TFS administration) for SQL database objects (3+ years);
- Experience with database design tools (5+ years);
- Experience in configuration management of SSRS reports and associated database objects (5+ years);
- Experience in change management best practices, serving in a code promotion role in partnership with development team (5+ years).
