Job Description :

Job Title: Database Admin

Location: New York

Duration: 1+ Years


Responsibilities:

  • Provide DBA project lead in the areas of design, develop, and infrastructure deployment
  • Ensure DB high-availability and data integrity of multiple database instances
    Hands on experience with Oracle Exadata, MAA architecture and operational experience a major plus
  • Support day to day operations of existing databases in collaboration with the Application teams
  • Create & maintain operational runbooks
  • Create all database objects, including constraints and defined relations between tables
  • Develop and automate routine tasks using Ansible playbook
  • Review and audit end-user accounts, permissions and access rights
  • Participate in development of Enterprise Database Model and database standards
  • Review and coordinate systems backup and recovery operations
  • Participate in the management of all In-house Oracle licensing, maintenance and procurement activities
  • Lead the coordination of Oracle platinum quarterly patching efforts

Qualifications:         

  • 7 + years managing Oracle Database (RAC environment)
  • 5+ year working in a Linux environment (Oracle Linux preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to remain organized while
  • working on multiple projects with competing priorities
     

Desirable Experience:

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Oracle Autonomous database
  • Some SQL server experience
