Specific Tasks include:
· Source Data Model to DW Logical Design ERD: Identify the data entities for the DW structure using the existing documentation of the source database in conjunction with the output of the target mapping effort.
· DW Schema OLAP Cube: Data analytics and bulk data fulfillment requirements shall guide the creation of an effective DW star schema and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cube model DW Physical Design: A DW physical design is created from the models with consideration for partitioning, summary views, integrity constraints, and other appropriate technical aspects.
· DW population and BI Interface: Source Data and ETL Design. Using requirements to effectively Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) the data elements from the source database to the DW, design and develop specifications for processes to prepare source data for populating the DW.
· ETL Creation, Staging Area, and DW Physical Design: (a) Create the required ETL processes. (b) Using a staging area as needed, perform needed functions to properly structure the data and load the data into DW.
· DW Physical Design: Using the data analytics and bulk data fulfillment requirements, analyze alternatives, acquire, and implement effective BI and bulk data (Client) tools.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the areas of DW and Business Intelligence (BI) planning, design, and project management The Candidate shall participate in all aspects of Data warehouse (DW) & ETL process design, creation, and specification for components The Candidate shall be responsible for providing the following services in coordination with technical, functional, and management representatives Ability to think and work independently.
