Contract Management Data Product Manager
Role Description
As a Data Product Manager your primary responsibility is to help create and deliver best-in-class data solutions that facilitate great analytical experiences for McKesson's customers and internal teams. You will closely collaborate with data architects, data scientists, product owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements, write use cases, and organize features for McKesson's data design and access strategy.
Job Functions
- Assists with the Contract Management data product roadmap by defining our customers, success metrics, and strategic priorities
- Executes the roadmap by creating requirements and working with our engineering team through planning, testing, launch, rollout, and iteration
- Develop requirements to maintain the Contract to customer relationship
- Analyze contracts to determine which fields are required and develop the business rules to make the data reportable
- Develop business logic requirements to determine contract KPI performance for each customer
- Defines user/developer-facing data extract capabilities, API services (scope, requirements, and user-facing definitions)
- Interacts with business owners and Master Data Management to establish single version of the truth and mitigates situations where there needs to be more than one.
- Writes/owns user-friendly data names and descriptions
- Works with internal users to understand their needs and translate into data platform requirements
- Ability to lead cross functional teams to gather requirements across all segments and BU's
- Coordinates with fellow Product Managers, Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are captured
- Assist with customer/user-facing communications such as marketing messages, RFP responses, release notes and support communications
Qualifications
- 4-5 years Product Management experience dealing with data platforms
- Experience working with data profiling
- Experience with JIRA to manage product roadmap and backlog
- Experience working directly with technology teams and business stakeholders as a product manager
- Experience with SAFe, Lean, and Agile software development
- Prior experience with Contract Management systems/data (preferred)
- Experience with data needs at all levels of a modern analytics workflow (querying, blending, exploring, visualizing, storytelling)
