  • The Data & Analytics team (DNA) works closely with departments across the organization to utilize our rich data assets to drive strategic business decisions and enable an optimal consumer experience across all our platforms. Our goal is to extract actionable insights to increase business performance and leverage customer behavioral data to develop capabilities that help enhance our ability to attract, engage and retain digital subscribers. We utilize leading data science and advanced analytics techniques to influence acquisition channels, subscriber retention strategies, product development and personalization. The DNA team provides functional expertise across an end-to-end data and analytics ecosystem that consists of strategic analytics, business intelligence, big data infrastructure, data architecture and engineering, data product management, consumer & marketing analytics, product analytics and data science. Role Description

  • The Data Product Manager plays a key role on the DNA team to build and deliver data products and analytic platforms that help the organization understand our customers and provide the tools necessary to communicate with those customers across multiple marketing touchpoints in a personalized and dynamic way. The ideal candidate is a seasoned data product manager and strong communicator with a proven track record of delivering best-in-class core data products to drive business growth. This role will be responsible for establishing strong relationships in data engineering, product, and business teams across Beachbody while championing the needs of our users to envision high-level roadmaps, create detailed requirements, and execute development plans. This role will evangelize the impact of data products and capabilities across the organization and partner with stakeholders to iteratively improve tools and processes.  

 
 Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Design and build core data products that allow insight into our customer base and enable a full 360-degree view of our subscribers that can help drive investments in solutions to attract, engage and retain customers
  • Provide guidance to business stakeholders on what data to capture, how to map data needs to business questions, and how to prioritize work
  • Conduct cross-departmental needs assessment (sales, marketing, ecommerce, etc.) to develop dashboards to serve real-time data reporting needs.
  • Optimize and improve efficiencies, quality, timeliness and relevance of current reports and processes while seeking opportunities for automation or enhancement of existing methodologies.
  • Diagnose bugs and work to get them resolved quickly
    Monitor ongoing performance of features and act as point of contact for any questions, concerns, or suggestions
  • Contribute to the overall product vision and roadmap
  • Write clear and concise product specs, feature analysis, and product documentation. Clearly articulate feature requirements through the development of User Stories, Specifications, and Process Mapping


Experience and Skill requirements:

  • Required Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business or Economics or related discipline. Master’s Degree (MS) is a plus.
  • 2-4+ years of professional data product and platform development experience including designing data solutions, data engineering and data pipeline development & management
  • Successful track record of building data products and capabilities
  • Contribute to a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and designers on product mission, prioritization, and roadmap
  • Proficiency in programming languages: SQL, Python, R, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in ETL processes, data pipelines & queues, API integrations
  • Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology
  • Experience with JIRA (or related system) preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with Dev, QA and Program Management teams to implement new features
  • Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to business and marketing stakeholders that enable the adoption of data platforms
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment, drive change, and collaborate with a variety of individuals and organizational partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to present analyses, business performance results and actionable recommendations to business and technical clients
  • Experience solving problems in an ambiguous environment
