Data Management Systems Leader

Remote

Long Term contract

The purpose of this job is to provide technical leadership and vision in all phases of application systems support for the delivery of effective business system solutions to meet internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Serve as the primary technical interface between inter-department management and the Application Support team, third-party vendors, and business leaders.
  • Manage the technical support of business systems for all IT customers utilizing both internal and external resources.
  • Support and coordinate the design, implementation, and maintenance of vendor-supplied application systems to ensure acceptance and proper use of the applications.
  • Monitor that documents continue to successfully flow between our host system, Windows Servers, and our trading partners. Work with team to troubleshoot and resolve any errors or problems in a timely fashion.
  • Provide Tier 2 on-call support for IT operational support and issues as required.
  • Manage application support resources to support projects and implementations while supporting multiple tasks and ad-hoc requests.
  • Ensure the maintainability, scalability, upgradability, and flexibility of the Inventory Management platforms and other assigned applications.
  • Direct, prepare and maintain business requirement documents, project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, performance reporting, and other system documentation.
  • Provide 24X7 applications support to the call center, distribution center, and related business units, Partner with business units to leverage IT resources to better understand customer operations and processes, development opportunities, business requirements, and potential improvements while providing strategic recommendations.
  • Participate in departmental management processes such as planning, budgeting, employee development, and scheduling.
  • Responsible for compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Policies/PCI as it pertains to Configuration Management, Security and Business Continuance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years relevant work experience) is required, preferably in Computer Science
  • 12 years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience), preferably with product and customer master data management experience
  • 7 years of experience leading teams
  • 5 years of experience/working knowledge in integration architectural patterns
  • 5 years of experience working with tools such as TIBCO Business works, EMS, File/DB Adapters, Hawk. AMX or BE
  • 5 years of experience in Web Services (HTTP/s, SOAP, REST), JMS, S/FTP, SQL
  • 5 years of experience using source control systems and code promotion techniques (such as SVN)
  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft server operating systems as well as Unix systems
  • 10 years of experience in data warehouse and data management technologies related to data modeling, ETL process design, data integration, and data migration process design, and performance tuning
  • 8 years of experience in project management, resource management, budget management, and outsource model resource management
  • 5 years of experience in business intelligence and enterprise data warehouse SDLC, standards, and methodology
  • Advance SQL and development skills is required
  • 5 years of experience with MPP data warehouse technology, IBM Netezza is required.
  • 5 years of experience with ETL tools, IBM InfoSphere DataStage is required
  • 5 years of experience with BI tools, preferably MicroStrategy and IBM Cognos
