Senior Data Governance and Metadata Management Professional
Seeking a senior data management professional with expertise in data governance and metadata management. Establish and facilitate a comprehensive, impactful data governance practice and metadata management capabilities to bring both business and IT stakeholders together. Define strategies and practices for managing enterprise-wide data throughout the data life cycle.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in data management, including data governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, data lifecycle management, access controls, and tools
5+ years of experience defining and establishing data governance and metadata management processes within an enterprise.
4+ years experience as a data modeler or enterprise data architect.
2+ years of experience with data privacy laws and controls
Past experience in starting up a data governance practice for a mid-sized organization
SQL skills to support data analysis and profiling of a variety of complex subject areas
Benefit Services (such as Group health, Life, AD&D, Short and Long-term disability, pensions, 401K retirement benefits) background is a plus
Have a curiosity and interest to understand data and it's value in the context of business processes supported by the data,
Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Facilitate review sessions with business users and other team members.
Experience with Agile principles, processes, and methodologies
