Data Conversion Specialist Roles and Responsibilities: Leading the data conversion effort for new client projects from Project Initiation through to the completion of development and transition into Maintenance Working with both the PM and BA on planning and management of data migration work items Facilitating sessions with the client on data migration requirements and design sessions Investigating client's data quality to require data cleansing on the client's side, or to include additional logic into conversion scripting to neutralize client's data issues. Working on and documenting mapping tables from the legacy system to target system. In cooperation with domain DBAs and BAs, mapping Static data from Legacy system to target system, suggesting Static data customization to support conversion process. Creating and validating data migration scripts. Debugging and resolving data conversion related issues in development and UAT\Training environments. Working closely with domain teams when scripting work is handed off for implementation to the domain teams. Supporting domain teams in the understanding of modules relations with client requirements. Organizing database tasks in a project. Preparing and maintaining of environments and scripts for releases. Providing deployment and production support. Other duties as needed. |
