Title: Core Network Engineer Duration: 1 Year + Location: San Francisco California Job Description We are looking for at least 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be open to daily operations work and Data Centre Tech refresh. US standard time working hours, with possible overtime for this position. Basic networking knowledge CCNA level. Candidates must understand routing protocol, configured Cisco/Juniper/Arista. Familiar with optic types, vendor equipment. Scripting language like Python is a plus because they don't need to write code, but enough to modify the script if things change. Same goes with the cloud. Who You Are A highly proficient network engineer with hands-on experience and in-depth skills in all aspects of network engineering. A motivated pragmatic thinker, eager to get the job done while finding a balance between pace and quality with: Experience in high-demand large-scale production environments Knowledge of BGP, MPLS, and RSVP configuration and management Experience with internal routing protocols such as ISIS and OSPF Experience with cloud deployments such as GCP and AWS Proficiency with multiple hardware platforms such as Juniper, Arista, and Cisco Experience with load balancing, anycast and traffic resiliency solutions Experience with packet analysis and flow monitoring tools Experience with scripting in Python or equivalent to automate operational tasks Working knowledge of network security methodologies Understanding of transit relationships and global internet connectivity Foundational understanding of CDN, DNS and TLS Strong documentation and interpersonal skills What You'll Do Deployment Deployment of network devices in datacentres and POPs Provisioning and turn-up of transport/transit/peering Configuration, testing and validation of hardware and circuits Definition of configuration and architecture standards Qualification of hardware and software Operations Troubleshooting and on-call rotation NMS configuration, validation and operation Tracking and planning of capacity Documentation of incident post mortems Maintenance Proactive performance and uptime monitoring Change management, process, documentation & response procedures Consistent improvement by refining tools and automation Additional Notes to Vendor : US Citizens and Green Card holders ONLY.
