COGNOS DEVELOPER
Responsibilities:
ul>
li>Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining./li>
li>Perform data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation./li>
li>Design data warehouse schematics, layouts, and capacity planning. Create and implement effective metrics and monitoring processes./li>
li>Develop processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and for ensuring reliability of information entered./li>
li>Seek continuous improvement in performance of data warehouse and ensure security of data./li>
li>Typically requires six to nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education./li>

Qualifications:
ul>
li>3+ years’ experience designing and developing using Cognos (Cognos FM Models, reports, dashboards, data modules, data sets, etc.
5+ years any BI Development/li>
li>Development Experience with Cognos Analytics/li>
li>Work with external and internal partners at both the business and technical level to define requirements and identify solutions/li>
li>Analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues relating to development of reporting solutions/li>
li>Ability to work independently and on cross functional teams/li>
li>Communicate with business users and other IT groups at a technical and functional level/li>
li>Develop appropriate documentation both technical and procedural and participate in code reviews/li>

Education:
ul>
li>Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, or Associates Degree with 8-12 years IT Software Developer related experience./li>
