Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. -- Practical understanding and experience building/designing/operating data protection technologies to include:?Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker, Data Access Governance, Encryption/Tokenization/Obfuscation/Masking, Rights Management, Database Security, Email Security, Endpoint Security, UEBA, Logging & Monitoring. -- 10+ years of enterprise experience in Data Security with working knowledge of Information Governance and Privacy working in a large technology firm with a global footprint. -- Security and privacy industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); IAPP CIPT, CIPP/E/US, Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) preferred. -- Experience with setting strategy for access and data security controls in big data and multi-cloud data environments preferred. -- Strong knowledge of Data Security Control Standards and Procedures.

Background
The Cloud Security Consultant will be a member of our internally facing, corporate Cybersecurity Consulting organization with responsibility for contributing significant experience and technical skillset into Dell’s expanding Cloud environment. The Cloud Security Consultant will be considered a security and technical expert in Software Defined Networking, Cloud technology, architecture, designs, systems implementation and integration and will assist in the development and communication of authoritative Cloud-focused policies, standards, guidelines and control requirements. The Consultant will be required to perform technical research when necessary to contribute to setting Cloud security direction and strategy. The Consultant will also partner closely with Cloud oriented programs and projects.

• Participate as a key Cloud Security Consultant on various programs, project & initiatives across Dell providing security guidance & direction while ensuring adherence to Dell’s security policies & standards
• Define security requirements while engaging directly with stakeholders within Dell’s Business Units and the Information Technology organizations to ensure products, services and solutions are designed to adhere to those requirements across Dell’s private, hybrid and public Cloud environments
• Coordinate with security architects to provide guidance in creating and integrating secure Cloud-based designs & solutions

Job Requirements:
• Mastery of Cloud service and deployment models (e.g. CaaS, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS) and proven experience with migrating on-premise solutions to the Cloud
• Knowledge of Cloud-native/Cloud-friendly security controls
• Detailed technical knowledge and experience with general network security, authentication, security protocols, access control, cryptography, application security and data protection
• Proven success with at least one of the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware virtualization solutions, Pivotal, Windows and Linux based platforms, etc.
• Experience building a security catalog of best practices, techniques and patterns to enable secure network implementations
• Hands-on experience with additional security technologies such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Scanning, WAF, Wireless LAN, NAC, DLP, DDoS Mitigation, WAN security, SIEM, Content Filtering, Cloud Security gateways, Secure Proxies, SSL crypto solutions, etc.
• Solid understanding of concepts related to information systems audit, information security, general IT controls, application controls and assessing technology risks
• Solid understanding of DevOps and testing tooling such as Jira, TFS, Github, Gitlab, and Atlassian tools.
• Advanced understanding of Cybersecurity concepts with expertise in performing security control assessments utilizing established industry frameworks
• Additional experience with network security preferred
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities
• Ability to efficiently summarize complex, cross-organizational initiatives
• Ability to help drive agreement on priorities through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing or conflicting goals

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Individuals with CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications preferred
• 5+ years Security experience
