We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a ClearCase Consultant role.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
The Consultant must be available 24/7 as needed to ensure complete support for the configuration management function. Contractor will:
• Perform advanced administration, architecting, upgrading and configuration of IBM Rational UCM ClearCase and Requisite Pro tools and provide all levels of support and resolution of the tools to all users;
• Ensure the Rational servers (license and application) are available, monitored, patched and updated;
• Ensure the backup, recovery and disaster/recovery of the ClearCase VOB server;
• Write ClearCase triggers and ClearQuest hooks to Implement development policies and processes;
• Administer the system including but not limited to setting up new users, groups, projects, and configurations, provision and de-provision user accounts;
• Work with the deployment team in resolving deployment related issues;
• Maintain and support SCM environment including GIT and Jenkins, and support the use of GIT, Jenkins, build automation scripts and Virtual Machines;
• Educate development teams on appropriate and efficient use of Git;
• Provide first level support of any issues encountered on the system;
• Install and configure server software, as well as necessary proxies, mirrors and other peripheral software;
• Develop server-side scripts as well as other glue software to customize Git and tie in with other tools
• Create and provide process documentation to support team members regarding IBM Rational ClearCase and Git tools.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS(Required):
- Proven ability to Install and Implement ClearCase. Hands-on experience in administering, architecting, configuring, upgrading, and supporting UCM ClearCase, ClearQuest and Requisite Pro in Windows and Unix environment.
- Create, Manage VOB and Views, Change VOB ownership, move and remove a VOB, Check Heath of a VOB Dynamic views.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex issues
- Supporting and training SNC end users on all levels.
- Hands-on experience with server administration, hardware, backup, recovery and disaster/recovery of UCM ClearCase VOBs servers, web server and license servers.
- Hands-on experience with Git administrator
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration Delivery models
- Hands-on experience with o Automation/Build tools: Jenkins, Docker, Chef, Ansible and OpenShift. o App & Web Servers: WebSphere, JBoss and Tomcat o Scripting: Maven, Shell, Ruby, Perl and Python o Databases: Oracle, MySQL and Postgres o Testing Tools:
- Hands-on experience integrating new webhooks into github projects to automate various compliance checks.
Skills(Preferred):
Hands-on experience with large development projects using Agile methodology.
