Job description : Location : Remote till covid after that Minneapolis,MN Minneapolis or Eden Prairie Client is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual to work on a specialized team supporting our customers' and internal Citrix environments. The individual we hire should be capable of working in and across teams, as well as independently. The Systems Engineer Citrix position encompasses mostly job duties that encompass Citrix related technologies. This includes a strong focus on desktop management in XenApp/XenDesktop deployments. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting of technical delivery issues, policy and procedure enforcement under the best practices established within the managed hosting LOB, logging incidents for any unplanned outage reported by the monitor system and logging incidents for maintenance task and/or configuration change being performed in customer environment. It will also perform installations, configuration, administration and tuning of many infrastructure systems and applications. This role will be expected to work across many departments and teams in support of delivering services to clients; breaking down any barriers to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The Sr. Systems Engineer - Citrix continuously develops work instructions to ensure technical activities are conducted in a controlled and repeatable manner. This position develops technical plans, conducts technical reviews, and executes upon plans in support of incident, change, and problem management efforts. This role will be called upon as a subject matter expert across many departments and teams. Be an escalation point for issues and requests that cannot be serviced by other groups, working issue to resolution, improving upon process, procedure, and knowledge to reduce future escalations. Be a member of project teams in the planning and delivery of activities to support on-time and on-budget completion. Conduct technical peer reviews of change plans and activities, providing recommendations, guidance, and authorization as appropriate. Continually develop and enhance technical operating procedures and documentation to improve upon efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Continuously identify and own problems and/or opportunities for improvement, working toward developing and deploying temporary and permanent fixes. Periodically construct and facilitate training with other groups in support of increasing capabilities, efficiencies, and effectiveness. Required Qualifications Service Engineer I - Citrix Bachelor's degree -OR- 4+ years of professional experience. 3+ years of Citrix experience. Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations. Other Qualifications Professional or higher-level certification in Virtualization preferred. ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Expert analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality. Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision. Advanced communication skills regarding project teams and management. Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.
