Job Description: Zurich is currently looking for a Finance Business Process Analyst resource to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. A local candidate is required. This role has potential for a temp-hire opportunity.
The Finance Business Process Analyst leads the analysis of business requirements and translates them into technical solutions/requirements and ensures their implementation throughout the project life cycle as part of a small/medium independent project, or supports these activities under a Senior or Lead Business Analyst as part of larger projects. Maintains and enhances existing tools such as MS Access Databases, Alteryx Workflows, VBA Scripts, etc. Understands and is able to apply different technologies and delivery approaches (Waterfall, SCRUM, Zurich Lean) and perform, independently, business processes improvements in accordance with Zurich Project Management Framework and the Zurich Risk Policy.

Additional responsibilities will include:
• Providing explanations and expertise regarding as-is / to-be models as part of the requirements elicitation process i.e.; process, data, work flow, application etc. to appropriate stake-holders
• Adapting and applying different delivery methodologies including SCRUM, Waterfall and Zurich Lean determining the best methodology for the specific project
• Planning, conducting / facilitating elicitation sessions for business requirements and ensures the deliverable's are met
• Understanding customers´ objectives, processes, data, and products in order to make appropriate recommendations for customer-specific needs
• Collaborating with process owner/project manager to build Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope and development of a high level plan
• Producing requirement specifications and outline solution design documents throughout the project life cycle, incorporating change requests and finalization of requirements documentation
• Analyzing and managing requirement risk, trace ability matrix and prioritizes requirements
• Develop/enhance technical solutions leveraging MS Access, Alteryx, VBA, etc to increase automation, simplify processes, and efficiently satisfy business needs
• Performing quality review checks on project deliverable's
• Participating in development of test plan, testing, implementation and training activities
• Participating in post implementation activities including problem solving and measurement of benefits achieved. In case expected benefits are not achieved, participates in the analysis to determine root cause

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
• Experience leading workstreams
• Knowledge of process engineering
• Experience with core process redesign, continuous improvement methodologies
• Process modeling tools
• Business Systems Integration

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
• LEAN/Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt Certification
• Experience in a key analytical role on large and complex enterprise projects
• Consulting experience
• Knowledge of insurance industry business processes and processing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with change management tools/methodologies
• Advanced Microsoft Access experience
• Advanced VBA experience
• Alteryx Experience
