Position Responsibilities
Support all areas of the database clusters (Cassandra & Oracle), ensuring all databases run at optimal performance.
Ensure that industry-wide security standards are properly implemented.
Develop and optimize complex NoSQL schema structures.
Build and support Cassandra / DataStax cluster nodes.
Constantly looks for opportunities to improve performance by doing performance tuning
Do profiling of databases and estimate capacity needs.
Perform Incident (resolve issues) and Problem management (RCA’s) duties
Build reporting and metrics related to databases.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
10+ years of experience in data integration, data movement and database administration preferred.
Proficient in the following NoSQL database technology: Cassandra / DataStax (expert)
Basic experience with Oracle 11g and 12c RAC, SQL Server, or DB2 LUW preferred.
Experience with Cassandra configuration options required.
Proficient in installing, configuring, upgrading and patching all DBMS listed above, as well as OLTP performance troubleshooting
