Position Description
The Client is seeking to hire a Java Full Stack Developer in Tampa, FL. You will be part of an agile team to develop and deliver a dynamic application at a large U.S. Financial institution. Excellent opportunity to work with CGI’s Global Banking and Financial Services practice to help innovate and deliver market leading Wealth management solutions. You will collaborate with premier client personnel in helping them satisfy critical business objectives.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Full stack development in Java.
Engagement with product analyst and solution architects to interpret functional specifications to develop innovative solutions.
Build secure, scalable and high-performance applications
Work in an Agile environment and actively participate in sprint/project/release planning to provide development estimates for the program
Participate in requirements tuning and design reviews, sprint readiness and retrospective reviews and other inspections.
Develop and complete the implementation and unit test cases, create technical documentation.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
7+ years of Java, Web development experience with focus on Angular 11 or higher for the front end.
Development experience using Java 8+, Spring, Hibernate, SQL. Must have 5 years of excellent experience in core Java backend development
Hands on experience with XML, JSON, and UTR file formats.
Experience with Payment systems, Payment Hub and Clearing House is preferred.
Must also have knowledge in application frameworks and backend Java format conversions.
Experience in working with UI tool sets & programming languages – Angular, Java script frameworks, CSS, HTML, Storybook.
Experience working on relational databases is preferred.
Experience and understanding design patterns culminating into microservices development.
Experience using Java Stream APIs, multithreading.
Well versed with IBM MQ messaging required and Unified MQ preferred. Well versed with message ques is required.
Hands on experience with AWS cloud is preferred.
Must have experience implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices.
Experience working alongside engineers helping build reusable components.
Experience with Reactive message driven application stacks will be a plus.
