Position / Title: Telecom support Engineer (OSS) Location: San Diego CA Contract Pre-Requisites: Must have Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (software) Minimum 7 years of experience (with minimum 2 years of US experience) or exception granted by Nokia Experience with Network Management (OSS) products/platforms/solutions preferably Nokia NetAct Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and the ability to work well in a global team. Strong troubleshooting skills and an aptitude to learn new things. Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues/problems on large complex deployments. Experience with analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of system hardware, software and networking issues Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with Customer Support including working in a customer facing role Experience in Oracle databases, Linux and Windows platforms Experience with Software upgrades Experience with System integration Knowledge in VMWare product Operational knowledge of network hardware and software Experience with MOP Development and testing of MOPs Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP protocols and networking Knowledge Knowledge in VMWare product Experience with Linux, Unix Administration, Oracle DB SQL. Experience Script Coding, preferably Perl Experience performing system backup and restoration
