Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

  • *local candidates strongly preferred
  • *interviews will be conducted via MS Teams or Google Meet.
  • *candidates will telework now (after coming to office to pick up laptop) but will be required to come onsite for meetings approximately once a month
  • Provide Business Systems Analysis for enhancements to current DOC systems, new systems, problem resolution, custom reports specs. Provide PM leadership as needed for smaller projects - coordinating staff, project planning, tracking and status reporting
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit requirements and system specifications for VADOC s Offender Management System (OMS).
  • Works closely with our end users, analysts, and IT teams.
  • Educates and trains business partners in changes/enhancements to the OMS. Develops detailed knowledge and functional area expertise of business processes.
  • Participates in teams and maintains positive, professional relationships with colleagues and customers. Coordinates technical resources and tasks.
  • Provides regular project tracking and status reporting.
  • Ensures compliance with the VITA project management standards and procedures for development, enhancement, and deployment of applications developed or procured by ITU to deliver services that satisfy user requirements and ITU established standards.
  • Demonstrates initiative, timeliness, professional self-development, strong oral and written communications skills. Skilled in managing relationships with business partners and technical staff and communicating with all levels of management.
