Business Analyst – Utilities || RGS ID : 8197836 || Work Location : Los Angeles, California $70 Manufacturing Job Title Business Analyst – Utilities Relevant Experience(in Yrs) 5 to 8 years Technical/Functional Skills The candidate should also have a strong understanding of · Strong Utilities domain and Business knowledge in Transmission and Distribution, · Good Knowledge Emerging areas like EV, DER etc · Project Management skills, · good communication and documentation skills · Negotiation skills, · Project Management/ITIL certification Roles & Responsibilities · Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to adjust communication style to present technical and non-technical information to a wide variety of clients with differing levels of knowledge. · Solid client relationship management skills with the ability to elicit requirements through effective interviews and requirements gathering workshops, and motivate stakeholders towards a goal or to reach consensus · Ability to create a requirements document in an environment with some ambiguity or unknowns and get them signed off · Lead client requirement discussions, including but not limited to: o Data mapping, logic and business rules o End User Analysis o Proof of concepts and design o SDLC/User stories and workflow analysis · Strong ability to work independently and meet project timelines, and drive stakeholders to delivering within determined timelines · Strong ability to recognize gaps, risks, impacts, and issues in a timely manner to enable a path forward on mitigating and supporting our clients · Ability to identify and effectively resolve problems creatively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders · Ability to produce quality documentation/reports for internal clients · Excellent ability to present information (e.g., requirements documents, diagrams) in clear, concise, and open manner · Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships, solicit co-operation and resolve conflicts with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally · Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously · Excellent organization and time management skills · Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills; able to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into requirements. Generic Managerial Skills · Demonstrated success as a self-starter · Ability to work with a team and motivate the team to achieve project deadlines · Ability to create consensus among different stakeholders · Excellent written and verbal communication skills to the project/application stakeholders · Manage all interfaces and communication between the vendor, Project Team, and business stakeholders; identify gaps and implement improved processes where required · Communicate all key aspects of the project on a regular basis through monthly updates and other updates as critical developments occur Education BE/BS or master’s in Electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
