Azure DevOps Architect

DevOps Azure .NET Developer will work with development teams in designing, building, and delivering, via pipeline, scalable, cost-effective MS Azure Cloud/PaaS based solutions in .NET. Will be also accountable for creating/optimizing patterns and procedures developers follow in creating/deploying cloud-based solutions. Help design and build automation that aids in verifying compliance to best practice development procedures: Azure DevOps Pipelining, IaaC via Arm/Bicep, .Net/Azure resource-based solution patterns, compliance to necessary tagging/configuration policies, unit testing, static code analysis, and other “developer compliance/best practice” related areas.

Ideal candidate is a .NET developer with experience in Azure PaaS Resources/Services who can effectively consult with, and share, “how-to” knowledge with various project teams in the design and delivery of optimal Azure-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Azure development and delivery of applications per best practices, internal policies as decided by governing bodies.
• Help in developing and managing various “developer compliance” services: Tagging Governance Model, Resource Naming Standards, Static Code Analysis, Unit Testing Standards, and other “solution delivery” compliance related issues.
• Share Azure best practices, participate in a “Developer Community of Practice” with solution delivery teams, update teammates and dev community on changing technologies, and knowledge on current, and future Azure Cloud capabilities.
• Research on various technical initiatives and issues - propose/communicate technical/detailed solutions.
• Provide engineering support to development/delivery teams.
• Perform root cause analysis / provide guidance to technical leadership teams and managers regarding future issue/problem avoidance.
• Support and implement the technology roadmap for Azure cloud platform and work as a consultant to development teams.

Must have skills: 

• 3-8 years of hands-on experience with Azure PaaS Resources/Services and Dev Tools including: AKS, Functions, API Mgmt, Logic Apps, App Service,  VS Studio, Pipelines, DevOps, Repos, Artifacts, Boards, Policy, Key Vault, Git, Active Directory,  ARM/Bicep, AZ CLI,  REST API, PowerShell, etc.

• 2-3 years' experience as a hands-on .NET C# developer 
• Excellent communications skills adept at mapping requirements to automated solutions.

• Knowledge of foundational cloud components/technologies such as basic networking, security, governance, identity & access management (IAM), and compliance standards.

• Learn new things quickly and evangelize to developer community.

Nice- to- have Skills:

• Azure certifications – Azure Certified Architect, Azure Fundamentals, Azure Admin, , etc.

• Familiarity with MS Well Architected Framework, MS Cloud Adoption Framework, etc.

• Experience with AWS cloud services.

• Experience with other various related tools and platforms like GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus, Jenkins, Artifactory or Python.
