Job Description :

1.       Follow all standards and procedures defined by the Health Portfolio Quality Management Center and the Division of Nutrition Business Solutions Unit.

2.       Using the test case template; create a test case for each test scenario identified in the Release Management Plan with clearly defined test steps, test data requirements and expected results.

3.       Review test cases created by other staff.

4.       Export test cases from EXCEL to HP ALM test plan module, link test cases to requirements, and set up tests in test lab

5.       Execute manual tests and record results.

6.       Create test data.

7.       Use SQL Oracle Developer to validate back end data

8.       Validate, Log, prioritize and track defects using HP ALM.

9.       Create/execute SQL queries as needed to investigate/validate test results.

10.    Facilitate defect meetings with the development team, follow up on defects as needed, and retest resolved defects.

11.    Prepare Release Test Result Acceptance Forms for QA and UAT.

12.    Create/Generate reports in HP ALM for requirements coverage, test results, defects and others as requested to monitor the status of testing activities and demonstrate compliance with QMC standards.

13.    Analyze and Validate User Acceptance Testing defects and provide support as requested for User Acceptance Testing

14.    Compile reports and activity status as requested by the unit manager or project manager.

15.    Prepare and execute a knowledge transfer.

16.    Follow enterprise, cluster level, department level, and division level directives, best practices, standards, and methodologies, as appropriate or requested.

 

Mandatory Skills:

1.    84 months of experience testing new web applications.

2.    84 months of experience working directly with business analysts, program subject matter experts and technical staff, to define all test scenarios

3.    84 months of experience creating detailed test cases based on use cases, software specifications, and design documents.

4.    60 months of experience creating and executing test cases to validate data imports from external sources, verifying the data in the data import file is valid and uploaded to the database based on functional requirements.

5.    60 months of experience using HP ALM software for tracking of test cases and test case execution for multiple releases and user roles.

6.    60 months of experience using HP ALM software to verify requirements coverage, and creating ALM reports for test coverage, test status, and defects.

7.    60 months of experience in defect management (identifying, recording, tracking, prioritizing, and communicating defects) using ALM to document, track and communicate problems to technical staff.

8.    60 months of experience creating and executing test cases to validate functional requirements for system generated reports, verifying the reports are generated and populated with accurate data.

9.    60 months of experience creating/executing database queries in SQL for validation of test results.  

10. Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology field from an accredited institution.
