GENERAL INFORMATION:
API Tester Job – Herndon, VA – C2C - $40/hr – Immediate Interviews.
Title : API Tester
Location : Herndon, VA
Length : 6months + extensions
Mode of interview : Phone and skype
Rate : $40 per hour C2C – Fixed and non-negotiable
Visa : Open
Priority: Very High
Level: Junior to Mid-Level Opening

FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS MUST
1. Hands on experience with API testing (both manual and automated)
2. • Testing knowledge of middleware asynchronous messaging
3. • Testing knowledge of back-end system integration


YOU MEET OUR “MUST HAVES” FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
3. BS degree in a technology discipline or similar experience in a QA role
4. Strong understanding of common QA methodologies
5. Minimum 6 years related QA experience (Agile and/or Agile/Waterfall Hybrid)
6. Minimum 6 years testing web-based software solutions including back-end validation
7. Experience with internet and web based applications
8. Experience with internet security and security applications
9. Hands on experience with API testing (both manual and automated)
10. Strong team approach to problem solving
11. Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
12. Proven ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
13. Experience with Behavior Driven Development and design/developing Gherkin format test cases
14. Demonstrated ability for analytical and critical thinking
15. Ability to interface with customer and represent Exostar
16. Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams

YOU’RE EXACTLY WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR IF YOU HAVE:
Experience with Selenium, Cucumber and Java
Experience with Test Tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, JIRA and HP ALM is beneficial
Knowledge of SQL, XML, and RDBMS
Testing Knowledge of SharePoint
Experience in Agile, Test Driven Development and/or Behavior Driven Development is a plus
