Role - API Engineer
Location – USA (Remote)
Role Description: Being an API Engineer on the engineering team, you’ll be working on a product that impacts more than 65 million users. You will help us bring new features to life to meet our mission, while also helping push our platform to newer technologies as we embrace the cutting edge. Critical Skills:
? Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
? Work independently in all parts of the development cycle.
? Working with other engineering teams to gather requirements and write RFCs and Tech Specs for projects.
? Fluent in English and is able to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members. Also important is the ability to be self-directed when necessary.
? Diligent in proper documentation and quality management and will spend the time learning Headspace methods and frameworks.
? Ability to thrive in a startup (fast-paced, agile) environment.
Technical Skills: ? Strong skills and experience in software development (Java, Python, Javascript/Typescript, Go, Design Patterns, etc.).
? Experience with Node.JS or Spring boot preferred.
? Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
? Proficient in API and microservices architecture.
? API documentation / specification tools (e.g. Swagger).
? Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability with API testing frameworks / testing documentation (e.g. K6, JMeter, SoapUI, Postman, etc.).
? Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
? Execution of software delivery. You are skilled at cloud architecture, testing, monitoring, alerting and are excited to apply these principles within the team.
