Job Summary:
The Analytics Automation Engineer will be responsible to design and implement a testing framework that will validate the accuracy of data for Analytics team. This individual will need to work closely with the Analytics team to understand the transformation of data to develop a sound automation framework that validates the quality of this data in various reports. In addition, it is expected that this individual will provide guidance to the testing team on data validation automation approaches across other product portfolios. This individual will need to work without guidance in developing these frameworks and also will be expected to create and execute manual tests as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
· Requirements analysis and data analysis
· Design and create an automation framework and automation suite that continually validates data in various reporting tools (DOMO, A e Analytics)
· Build utilities, functions, and frameworks to enable testing of data flow patterns.
· Research, evaluate and utilize new technologies/tools/frameworks centered around Data validation and report validation with large data sets
· Creation and execution of manual tests based on project requirements.
· Participate in daily stand-ups with project team as part of the agile methodology
· Coordinate with development team members regarding defect validation and assist development team members with re-creating defects.

· Maintain technology expertise, keeping current with evolving testing tools, techniques, and strategies to improve the overall testing efficiency, processes, and best practices.

· Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
· 7+ years as an automation engineer
· Highly skilled in at least one programming language. Java or Python is preferred
· Experience as an ETL tester with hands on experience in designing workflows with ETL tools like Alteryx and DOMO
· 2+ years working with large sets of data
· Strong data base query capabilities and the ability to write complex queries
· Experience in data aggregation or data comparison against large data sets
· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel such as pivot tables, data filtering, collating data
· Experience with other automation tools such as Selenium would be a plus
· Knowledge of A e Analytics is a plus but not required
· Experience with Eclipse or similar IDEs
· Experience with Source Control tools such as Git
· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Expectations include a high level of initiative and a strong commitment to job knowledge, productivity, and attention to detail
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Solid software engineering skills - participated in full lifecycle development on large projects.
