SAP BW/BOD Consultant
Location - Allegan, MI
Duration - 6-8 Month Contract
The BW / Data Warehouse architect works closely with Business Analysts and Business Users and BI developers to develop and maintain and grow Data Warehouse (EDW The incumbent analyzes data and system requirements and writes, tests and debugs programming and configuration supporting Data Warehouse functionality. This includes new/existing ETL/ELT Flows, DB Schemas /Data models and data sets, as well as supporting existing functionality within the environment. The incumbent maintains all documentation supporting these processes through interaction with business users as well as the Business Analysts.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for the reliable, accurate, and consistent Data Warehouse /BW/EDW environment
Identification of new opportunities and functionality
Accurate, useful documentation on existing and new systems
Alignment to global Strategic Data Warehousing Initiatives
Required Experience:
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline along with a minimum of 8-10 + years prior experience in the development and maintenance of SAP BW/ Data Warehouse, preferably in the pharmaceutical market. Prior work with SAP BW with functional experience in the areas of SD, FI, CRM and SCM is must.
Proficient in BW, BEX and optimization of cubes, queries.
Working experience with BODS is desired.
Experience with Modeling and Architecting for SAP and Non-SAP Data sources.
Provide solutions architecture oversight for new development projects in support of our client''s BI program.
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining data marts, including test and production environments.
Experience working with large datasets from a variety of systems and sources.
Proficiency with source code control and release management.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with excellent research and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate the results of analysis in a clear and effective manner.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Extensive experience in interfacing with corporate directors and other key persons.
Ability to fulfill DBA duties such as database configuration and tuning, etc. is a plus.
Knowledge of Dimensional Data Modeling (Kimball Methodology
Translate business specifications into technical BI specifications.
Knowledge or working with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Integration Services is plus
Knowledge or working experience with analytical tools like BOBJ,PowerBI is plus.
