Senior Systems Engineer, a passionate power contributor who blends deep Linux expertise with proven complex scripting experience to ensure world class engineering support for a SaaS, Private and Public Cloud environment. This includes expertise supporting servers, virtualization, disaster recovery, and mastery of application frameworks.

You, as the Senior Systems Engineer, are fully capable of delivering to the company technology strategy while meeting the ever-changing technology and service needs of the company. You will provide senior support for all operational team(s) and work efforts of business groups to enforce a culture of excellence based on leading by example, driving continuous improvement, performing root cause analysis for problem elimination, and doing all work right the first time. You will have a relentless focus on customer service, innovation, transparency and creating an extraordinary end user experience while remaining consultative and relationship-oriented with all departments in the organization.
You?re Good At
Designing, building, maintaining, troubleshooting and scaling RHEL systems, and public and private cloud infrastructure components and related applications
Participating in an efficient and cost-effective Infrastructure department with a focus on a stable and advanced environment, coupled with a strong understanding of business requirements to define and influence the Information Technology road-map
Determining technology development strategies for the company and for individual projects; working with top-level management and technology leaders to prioritize and execute these projects
Working closely with both insourced and outsourced teams in comprehensive management of IT Operations to ensure strategic initiatives are being met
Evaluating, designing and implementing identity and access management, security, and single sign-on (SSO) solutions and defining roadmaps towards an improved customer experience
Evaluating, designing and deploying integration architecture for infrastructure systems and related applications
Developing and maintaining effective real-time monitoring systems to ensure proactive responses to server and cloud compute events and maintain uptime standards according to published SLA?s
Ensuring new or enhanced processes are integrated with SOP?s while meeting business requirements and system goals
Effectively collaborating with the development, technical support, change management, product and sales teams to accomplish cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
Prioritizing in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
You Have
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience required
8+ years of previous RHEL Linux systems design, engineering and administration experience with demonstrated advancement to guide technology decisions
Strong skills in RHEL Linux server, architecture, design and implementation skills in a large-scale SaaS, Public/Private Cloud Environment is required
Enterprise security tools, log management, job scheduling and monitoring solutions
Demonstrated expertise in complex scripting (Bash, Perl, Python
Experience with Virtualization Technologies, Cloud Computing Technologies, IT Security and Compliance
Experience with Configuration Management automation tools (Xebialabs, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt
Experience with monitoring and dashboard tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds
Experience deploying/installing layered products with strong understanding of SOA architectures, Microservices, Containers, and Docker
Experience with various web-based application, web servers, and application integration tools
Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies required (SAML, Siteminder
Experience with file transfer tools required (MFT
Performance, scalability, security and capacity planning skills required.
Experience with Service Vendor Management and Partnerships
Proven project management skills with the ability to track multiple deliverables.
Strong conceptual, analytical, judgment and communication abilities
Ability to quickly adapt to a constantly changing environment
Experience with Service Management, ITIL training and/or certifications preferred.
Cisco, Security, ISO, HITRUST, NIST training or certifications are highly preferred, but can be substituted by degree of experience
