Job Description :
Summary:
Seeking a senior level project manager to manage several concurrent medium to large complex projects.
Project will include implementation of government mandates and other operational projects for the Individual Business Unit.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of project management experience in the Healthcare industry and a demonstrated track record of delivering projects within the required scope, budget and schedule.
Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing complex application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology
May manage multiple projects of moderate size concurrently
Involved in the development of strategic plans for projects of high business complexity
Develops detailed plans and schedules
Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule
Assists in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies
Coaches and mentors individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders
Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies.
Oversees client/customer relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met
Wide latitude in determining creative solutions to strategic and operational needs
With general supervision, the project manager is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing government mandate, application and system implementation projects using formal project management methodology(s)

More Responsibilities include:
Manage multiple moderate to large complex projects concurrently
Oversee the system development lifecycle process for all projects
Develop detailed plans and schedules, including goals, risks, and resource allocations
Monitor project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule
Adhere to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies
Coach individuals on project teams
Oversee client/customer relationships to ensure that service expectations are developed and met
Complete other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
Top Three Skills & Experience:
1) Minimum of seven (7) years project management experience using Waterfall and Agile methodologies required with a minimum of five (5) years on health plan operations or related field
2) Experience implementing government mandates and other healthcare related projects
3) Experience managing multiple medium to large complex projects concurrently

MORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Complete knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s standards and terminology
A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required.
Minimum of seven (7) years project management experience required with a minimum of five (5) years on health plan operations or related field
Project Management Professional Certification preferred
Experience implementing government mandates and other healthcare related projects
Experience managing multiple medium to large complex projects concurrently
Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using multiple project development methodologies including PMI and Agile
Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
Ability to balance multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and Teams
Experience initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects
Experience developing detailed project plans and schedules including goals, risks and resource allocations
Experience working closely with the technical support team in understanding and resolving systems issues
Expertise developing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures
Experience monitoring project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost or schedule
Adherence to project management policies, procedures and methodologies
Ability to analyze issues, risks and other data to shape appropriate solutions
Experience as a coach and mentor to individuals on project teams
Experience overseeing business, operations and IT relationships to ensure service expectations are developed and met
Experience in managing vendor relationships
Experience negotiating with cross functional teams to drive optimal project implementations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective communicate with project teams and other groups
Ability to successfully interact with peers, all levels of management as well as other disciplines
Strong decision analysis capabilities
Strong leadership capabilities
Highly self-driven and self-motivated

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor''s Degree required; in related field preferred
Minimum of seven (7) years project management experience required with a minimum of five (5) years on health plan operations or related field
Project Management Professional Certification preferred
