Position: Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager (Data Center Strategy)
Location: Gaithersburg, MD with a couple days spent at HQ in Bethesda each week
Duration: Through end of year, good chance of extension
Rate: $70/HR on W2 with benefits

PLEASE NOTE: This position is someone who has experience with setting up Data Centers on a GLOBAL platform. This candidate needs to have extensive experience creating presentations to C-level executives. This is not just a data center project manager.

NOTE: Needs strong PowerPoint skills for both presenting to executives as well as creating presentations This is a very high profile position we need to fill immediately.

Sr. PM will have responsibility over the Data Center Strategy initiative, and management of continent engagement, i.e. calls, actions, risks, communications. This SR PM will also provide PM support to our new SVP of iT Delivery. This person needs to have great attention to detail, note taking skills and be comfortable working with C level executives and have confidence running these types of meetings and presenting to executives.

JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, the candidate will lead and manage various projects in support of the Infrastructure PMO. They will be proficient at leading heavily matrixed teams to deliver Infrastructure projects on time, within budget, while meeting Marriott’s expectations. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of projects, on an enterprise level, or for a major PMO program with multiple releases and work streams. Verifies project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
In this role, the candidate will have responsibility over enterprise initiatives, and management of continent engagement, i.e. calls, actions, risks, communications. This person must be a motivated self-starter that possesses great attention to detail, note taking skills and have a high level of confidence when working with C level executives, running executive meetings and presenting to executives. This role will also have responsibility to provide PM support to other initiatives as identified from the Infrastructure PMO and office of the SVP of iT Delivery.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
PMP certified with an active status and in good standing with PMI.
7+ years of experience managing enterprise level infrastructure projects 250K+
Experience leading projects for a Fortune-500 company.
Excellent communications skills to effectively information share with project team members and senior leadership.
Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior leadership
Strong oral and written communication skills
Be available to work outside of the traditional hours and days to facilitate project events when required.
Can effectively work with diverse project team members and be able to instill a unified drive to achieve project objectives and milestones.
ITIL Foundations Certification
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite and applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Skype, Visio, Teams)
